Youth Programs

Fun In The Sun

The Fun In The Sun program is a summer day camp for Manchester residents ages 6 - 12.  The campers enjoy playground games ,swim lessons, free swim, and the opportunity to try new games and sports.  


Registration Date 

-Registration Date: July 6th, 2017 at 8:00 AM at the site you want you child to attend.

​-Must have birth certificate to register.

-Children must be 6 years old and have a birth date between these dates:  July birth date 2005 - July 6th 2011 

-Registration will take place at the site your child will attend.  The options are Piscataquog River Park, The JFK Coliseum, and Livingston Park 

-Program is free to Manchester children only

-Registration will continue throughout the six weeks provided space is available at each site.

Program Locations: JFK Memorial Coliseum, Livingston Park (Dorr's Pond House), Piscataquog River Park

Program Start Date:  July 10th, 2017 

Program Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Program End Date: August 17th, 2017

Saturday  Basketball Shoot Around

Saturday Basketball shoot around is available to boys and girls who reside in Manchester. The program runs on Saturdays at Beech Street School from December to March. There is no charge for this program and applications are available below. 

Starts:  2017/2018 TBD 

This is NOT a basketball league with teams and standings it is simply a program that allows certain age groups  an hour and a half in the gym to shoot around or play pick up games.  The age breakdown is as follows:

Age Group Time
7 - 8 year olds 9:00 am - 10:30 am
9 - 10 year olds 10:30 am - noon
11 - 12 year olds 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
13 years old - High School 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Summer Fun Runs

Summer Fun Run 2017 Meets:

June 29th

July 13th
July 20th 

Registration begins at 5:15 PM with the races running from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.  All races are held at Livingston Park.  The cost is $1 per event or $2 for multiple events.
