Youth Programs

Fun In The Sun

The Fun In The Sun program is a summer day camp for Manchester residents ages 6 - 12.

Registration Date and Requirements:
  • Registration Date: July 6th, 2017 (Tentative) 
  • Must have birth certificate to register.
  • Children must be 6 (Six) years of age to register.
  • Registration will take place at the site your child will attend.
  • Program is free to Manchester children only
  • Registration will continue throughout the six weeks provided space is available at each site.

Program Locations: JFK Memorial Coliseum, Livingston Park (Dorr's Pond House), Piscataquog River Park

Program Start Date:  July 10th, 2017 (Tentative) 

Program Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Program End Date: August 17th, 2017 (Tentative) 

All new dates are tentative and may be changed.

  • Reading Program

Saturday  Basketball Shoot Around

Saturday Basketball shoot around is available to boys and girls who reside in Manchester. The program runs on Saturdays at Beech Street School from December to March. There is no charge for this program and applications are available below. 

Starts:  2017/2018 TBD 

This is NOT a basketball league with teams and standings it is simply a program that allows certain age groups  an hour and a half in the gym to shoot around or play pick up games.  The age breakdown is as follows:

Age Group Time
7 - 8 year olds 9:00 am - 10:30 am
9 - 10 year olds 10:30 am - noon
11 - 12 year olds 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
13 years old - High School 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Summer Fun Runs

The Summer Fun Runs will be held on every Thursday beginning Thursday, June 30th and running every Thursday in the month of July at the Gatsas Athletic Complex in Livingston Park. Registration begins at 5:15 PM, with events beginning at 6:00 PM.


Events include:

Youth Sports

Volunteers run the following youth sports program in the City:

  • Little League & T-Ball
  • Greater Manchester Colt League
  • Youngsville Athletic Association
  • Babe Ruth Baseball
  • Legion Baseball
  • Manchester Girls Softball
  • Junior Deb Softball
