High Deductible Health Plan-The medical plan

  • Preventative care is paid at 100% 
  • Non-preventive care (including prescriptions) is paid by the member until the deductible is met
    • $2,000 deductible for an individual plan
    • $4,000 deductible for a two-person or family plan
    • In-network medical care (covered by the plan) is paid at 100% once deductible is met

Medical Plan Summary of Benefits

Health Savings Account(HSA)-A bank account to pay for your deductible 

  • City contributions to (active) employee HSA's to help pay deductibles
  • $1,500 per plan year for single plan ($1,300 for PDSS Union Members)
  • $3,000 per plan year for two-person and family plan ($2,600 for PDSS Union Members)
  • City contributions are pro-rated for mid-year enrollments 
  • Remaining funds in your HSA roll over into next plan year
