Recreation Facilities

Manchester has a wide variety of indoor and outdoor public recreation facilities.

Ice Arenas

Play hockey or practice your ice skating at one of two public ice facilities: the West Side Arena and JFK Coliseum. The JFK Coliseum doubles as an indoor event space during spring and summer, once the ice is removed in April.

Ski and Tubing Slopes

Enjoy skiing and snow tubing right in the heart of Manchester at the McIntyre Ski Area. There is a 9,000 square foot lodge and an outdoor bar and grille from July through mid-fall.

Golf Course

Get your rounds in at the eighteen-hole Derryfield Country Club municipal golf course, encompassing 116 acres in the center of the Queen City.

During the winter months, enjoy some cross country skiing on the course.  Trails are groomed after significant snowfall. (Please stay on the trails and avoid the greens, which are marked with wooden stakes and yellow tape.)

Disc Golf Complex

Throw some discs at one of two, eighteen-hole courses designed by former World Champion Eric McCabe that together form The Hollows disc golf complex.

Aquatics Facilities

Cool off during the summer months at one of three public swimming pools (Hunt MemorialRaco-Theodore, or Livingston), or at the Dupont Splash Pad

Swimming is also allowed from the beach at Crystal Lake Park.

Gill Stadium

Play a game or watch one at historic Gill Stadium, a multi-purpose facility in the heart of Manchester with a grandstand seating capacity of 2,220.
