This program provides smoke alarms and replacement batteries free of charge to residents of single-family dwellings who cannot afford to purchase them or who are unable to safely perform these tasks. Residents living in rental properties or condominiums should contact their landlord or property owner's association for smoke alarms and/or batteries.
If you are in need of a new smoke alarm or replacement batteries, please complete the Free Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector form and someone from the Fire Prevention Bureau will contact you regarding your request.
