Important Notice: Fraudulent Invoices
We have been made aware that several applicants have recently received fraudulent invoices that appear to come from the Planning Department. These invoices are not legitimate and did not originate from us. This is part of a recent scam in New Hampshire that has been targeting Planning and Zoning Board applicants.
Please note:
- All official email communications from our organization will come from an address ending in “.gov.”
- Application fees are due at the time an application is submitted. If there is ever a need for additional payment—for example, due to the cost of additional abutter notifications—the planner assigned to your case will contact you directly by email from a “.gov” address. We will never send a separate invoice.
- If you receive a suspicious invoice or email that does not come from a “.gov” email address, please do not respond, click on links, or provide any personal or financial information.
If you have any doubts about the authenticity of a communication, please contact us directly through the official phone numbers or email addresses listed on our website.
We take these matters seriously and appreciate your vigilance in helping us prevent fraud.
Fees
The Planning Board's fees differ depending on the type of application submitted. In most cases, fees include the cost of mailing notices to abutters, at $10 each, and the standard $300 application fee. Subdivision applications and site-plan applications require additional fees, depending upon the complexity of the proposal. Please see Appendix A of the Subdivision and Site Plan Review Regulations for a complete listing of fees.
