Yes. The MTA buses stop right outside the door on Main Street. Special Transportation buses will come to the front door in our parking lot at 151 Douglas Street.
How do you keep track of the number of seniors utilizing the Senior Center?
We have a software program that enables us to provide statistical information as well as to organize our activities and events.
Seniors are given a pass card (like a bar code card that grocery stores use) which they then are able to scan when the come in and they use a touch screen to press icons of events/activities that they will be attending. It makes it easy to sign in and seniors can see what is going on for the day.
We are able to see how many, who, and in what room or activity they are attending. It also helps us with room scheduling for events/activities.
Is there a membership fee?
For residents of Manchester, ther is no membership fee to attend the Cashin Senior Center. The Senior Center is open to all Manchester residents 55+ at no cost.
If you reside outside of Manchester, there is a $30 annual membership fee to access the Cashin Senior Center's programs and services.
