CBDT Project Map and Photos

Welcome to the Cemetery Brook Drain Tunnel (CBDT) Project Work Status Page!

This page is your window into one of Manchester’s largest infrastructure projects. Here, you can explore updates on construction progress and see how the CBDT team is advancing work beneath and around the City.

The map below highlights the tunnel alignment, including the Launch Trench and Drop Shafts (DS) 1 through 7. Beneath the map, you’ll find descriptions of ongoing activity at each location.

Curious about how it all works or looking to understand some technical terminology? We invite you to watch our project video on the homepage for an inside look at the engineering and innovation behind the Cemetery Brook Drain Tunnel.
