Manchester officials celebrated the grand opening of the city's newest fire station on April 10, 2004 at the new Station 8.
The station was designed with room for expansion of manpower and apparatus should the east side continue to grow.
The station will be staffed with 4 officers and 12 firefighters covering 4 shifts. Apparatus for the station include a new brush truck Forestry 2, and a new E-One quint, Engine 8.
