The Office of the City Clerk conducts and preserves the integrity of all local, state and national elections held in Manchester, New Hampshire. The next local scheduled election will be a special state general election on July 25, 2017 in District 16 (wards 1, 2, & 12) to fill the vacancy in the office of state senate. The election will be held between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. in wards 1, 2, & 12 only.
For those who are interested in serving your community on a local level, the muncipal filing period is fast approaching in early July. Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted when the filing period opens at 8:00 a.m. on July 10, 2017 through 5:00 p.m. on July 21, 2017. There is no better way to make a difference in your local government than serving in any one of a variety of elected positions from mayor or alderman to ward moderator, ward clerk, or selectman. Absentee Ballot applications for the upcoming elections can be printed using the link below and completed in the convenience of your home.
