The Manchester Arts Commission is dedicated to promoting art of all forms within the City of Manchester. Our mission is fulfilled in part by the coordination and maintenance of the Art on the Wall @ City Hall East and West Wing Galleries, the Open Doors Manchester Art and Cultural Trolley Tour, special projects, and our work to sustain the McIninch Art Gallery.
The Commission also submits an Arts and Culture Plan to the Economic Development Office, Planning Board and Board of Mayor and Aldermen on a regular basis, helping to ensure that public works may possess beauty in the highest practicable degree. MAC is currently working on a 10 year master plan in a first draft state.
Commission members and volunteers meet the second Monday of each month, 5:30pm, in the Stiles Conference Room, 2nd Floor of City Hall. The meeting is open to the public. Volunteer opportunities, proposals, and donations can be presented at the conclusion of regular MAC business.
