Manchester Police officers responded to 52 Dubuque St. early Thursday morning for a report of a gunshot. The officers were met by a group of subjects outside who claimed they were in the rear of the building when they were confronted by a man on the second floor. The man came out onto the second floor porch and began shouting at them. He then produced a small handgun and fired a shot into the air before retreating back into his apartment. The officers eventually located 47 year old Edward Fereira inside the second floor apartment. A handgun was recovered at the scene and through further investigation, it was determined that a shot had in fact been fired. Edward Fereira was taken into custody and charged with Reckless Conduct and being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm. There were no reports of injuries in this incident.
