On Monday September 27th, at approx. 6:46pm, a Rockingham Regional Ambulance was involved in a motor vehicle crash. The ambulance, operated by Jennifer Hirschmann 25 years of age, was traveling east on Spruce St when it was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Maple St. The second vehicle was operated by Christopher Labbe 26 years of age of Elgin Ave in Manchester. Labbe stated that he entered the intersection, while his traffic light was red, striking the ambulance on the right rear side. The ambulance then struck a parked vehicle, before making contact with the front stairs of 253 Spruce St. At the time of the crash, the ambulance was transporting a patient to the Elliot Hospital. The patient, who was reportedly being transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in an unrelated crash, received minor injuries as a result of this crash. No other injuries were reported. Labbe was issued a summons, for failing to stop at the redlight.
