Motorists are reminded that tomorrow, Thursday September 2nd, is the first day for Manchester Public Schools. Motorists should exercise extreme caution when entering schools zones and plan for additional travel time to their destinations.

Parents, students and anyone entering the schools zones are reminded to drive safely and to obey all traffic laws including speed, parking, yielding to pedestrians, etc. Officers will be monitoring school zones throughout the city and taking enforcement action when necessary.

Anyone arriving at a school to drop off or pick up passengers, including students and staff, should use designated parking zones and avoid stopping in travel lanes contributing to traffic backups and other hazards.
