This week's CRIMELINE CRIME OF THE WEEK is VANDALISM
that was reported to Manchester Police on March 24, 2010.
On that day it was discovered that someone had damaged the World War II Veterans Memorial in VeteransPark sometime over the previous weekend. According to the report, someone had forcibly removed 15 of the gold colored stars that were fastened to the granite panels. Although the stars were gold in color, they were actually made of brass.
On May 18th 2010 the Manchester Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted to match the Crimeline reward for information that leads to the arrest of the individuals responsible for the vandalism to the Veterans Memorial
