The Manchester Police Department is asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing 13 year old Manchester girl.  Lindsey Young has been missing from her 59 Columbus St. home since around noon on Sunday February 7th.  Young was in contact with her mother at that time by way of a text message, but there has been no further contact and attempts to reach her by cell phone have been unsuccessful.  There is no specific information that would suggest any foul play in this incident, and it appears at this time that Lindsey ran from home on her own accord.  However, due to her lack of contact with those that normally associate with her, along with the weather conditions and length of her absence, there is concern for her safety.

It is also important for the public to be aware that the "A Child is Missing" alert system has been activated.  This Florida-based system creates an informational message that is sent by telephone to hundreds of residents that fall within the vicinity of Young's home.  Citizens should be aware that this recorded message is meant to provide information about the missing child with the hope that someone might have observed or had contact with that child and can assist the Police with locating him/her.

Lindsey Young was last seen wearing a red sweater, blue or gray jeans, Nike sneakers, and her hair was tied in a bun.

Anyone with information regarding missing juvenile Lindsey Young is asked to contact the Manchester Police Department immediately at 668-8711.
