Early this morning around 0420am Manchester Police Officers responded to a report of a female victim who had been attacked in the rear of 347 Central Street while walking her dog.
The victim, whose identity was withheld, told the responded officers that she was approached from behind and grabbed by the neck. The woman struggled with her attacker and was thrown to the ground. During the encounter the victim said she was punched in the face and pushed back down onto the ground. The woman told the officers that her assailant then got on top of her and began cutting her clothing off with an unknown sharp object. The Victim continued to struggle and was able to break free and run to a nearby home to call police.
The suspect is a male, unknown race, average build, wearing all black clothing. “At this point the matter is under investigation and we are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area of Central and Lincoln Street, or anything suspicious near the rear alley of 347 Central Street to contact us at 668-8711” said Lieutenant Peter Bartlett
