On Wednesday, February 4, Officer Mark Ampuja of the Community Policing Division was named the 2010 Law Enforcement Partner of the Year by the Retail Merchants Association of New Hampshire. New Hampshire Attorney General Mike Delaney and Governor John Lynch presented Mark with the award at the association’s annual member and legislative reception held at the Holiday Inn in Concord, NH.

The purpose of the award is to recognize an outstanding member of the law enforcement community who has gone out of his or her way to help retailers with crime prevention and detection, as well as improve lines of communication between retailers and law enforcement.

Officer Ampuja is a twelve year veteran of the Manchester Police Department and has been assigned to the Community Policing Division for the last 3 years.   He also serves as a liaison to the Weed and Seed Crime Prevention Program and to Manchester’s 60+ community watch groups.
