Roadway Construction on Beech Street (North St.- Bridge St.)

Continental Paving Inc., the contractor for the Department of Public Works (DPW), will begin road work on Beech Street, from North Street to Bridge Street, on Friday, August 21, 2026.

The project will include ADA ramp improvements, sidewalk reconstruction, and roadway paving. Construction is anticipated to take approximately +/- 6 weeks, weather permitting.

Parking Restrictions:
When posted, parking on Beech Street will be prohibited during scheduled construction hours. Vehicles parked in posted no-parking areas may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Traffic and Access:
Detours will be in place as needed during construction. Access to properties may be temporarily restricted or delayed while work is underway. Residents and motorists should expect delays and use caution when traveling through the construction area.

Roadwork Advisory: Queen City Ave & Cilley Rd – Wednesday, July 23rd

RH White's subcontractor, Liberty Gas, will continue gas line work on Queen City Avenue on Wednesday, July 23rd, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As part of this project:

Cilley Road will be closed to through traffic between Beech Street and South Willow Street.

Queen City Avenue will be restricted to a single westbound lane between South Willow Street and the project area. Access will be limited to southbound traffic only from South Willow Street.

Important Notes:

All work is weather-dependent and schedules may change without notice.

On-street parking is prohibited on the affected roads during work hours. Violators will be towed.

Detours will be clearly marked. 

Property access may be temporarily delayed. Residents and motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
