The Welfare Department is currently open to the public. Potential applicants are encouraged to call the office at 624-6484 during normal business hours, or to complete a Welfare Inquiry Form rather than walking into the office without an appointment. If you choose to complete a Welfare Inquiry Form a member of our staff will contact you no later than our next business day.
The City of Manchester's Welfare Department provides financial assistance to those individuals and families in our community who are financially unable to meet their own basic need expense(s), such as:
