Description:

Celebrate the Korean New Year with a traditional Korean lotus flower lantern! Join the Manchester City Library on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 10:00am via zoom for a virtual workshop on making these lovely lanterns. Ages 10 and up!

Presented by the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project (KSCPP), this program will feature a workshop on creating a lotus flower lantern with a wire frame. All materials will be provided and can be picked up at the Manchester City Library main branch at 405 Pine St. during regular business hours starting on Monday, January 10, 2022. Following the program, participants will have the opportunity to view a documentary produced by the KSCPP.

KSCPPis a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, founded by Kim Jae Woong in 2005, dedicated to the promotion of greater awareness and understanding of Korean history and culture. KSCPP conducts research, publishes educational literature and documentaries, holds essay contests, and gives lectures on Korean History and culture for those who are interested in widening their perspective.
