Aquatics Facilities

Cool off during the summer at one of the following: 

► Swimming pools are available for swim teams to rent outside of public hours under special arrangements. Email us.


Disc Golf Courses

Try the two, 18-hole courses that comprise The Hollows, designed by former world champion Eric McCabe.

► Use is walk-up, but courses may be reserved for special events.

Gill Stadium

Play a game or watch one at historic Gill Stadium, a multi-purpose facility with grandstand seating for 2,220.

► Gill Stadium hosts both athletic and non-athletic events.

Golf Course

Get your rounds in at the Derryfield Country Club, an 18-hole municipal course comprising 116 acres.

► Nordic skiing trails are groomed after heavy snowfall. Follow us. (Stay on trails and avoid greens.)


Ice Arenas

Play hockey or practice your ice skating at one of two public rinks: the West Side Arena and JFK Coliseum.

► From removal of ice in April until end of August, the JFK Coliseum doubles as an indoor event space.

Lake Massabesic

Boat, fish, hunt, hike or ride a horse in the massive Lake Massabesic Watershed, maintained by Water Works.


Military Squares

Visit the military squares erected to honor Manchester natives who lost their lives in service to our country.

Explore the public parks lovingly maintained for the enjoyment of Manchester residents and visitors.

► Many amenities (e.g., athletic fields, pickleball courts, soccer mini-pitches, etc.) are available for reservation.

Pickleball

Meet others at our pickleball courts and play the fastest growing sport in the country.


Ponds

Relax near one of six ponds situated in Manchester parks, volunteer to help restore them, or do both.

► When weather permits, crews clear snow from Dorrs Pond in Livingston Park to create an old-fashioned ice skating experience. The Warming Hut with wood stove is also opened. Follow us to stay informed.


School Playgrounds

Discover the many school grounds with play areas, generally open to the public when school is out.


Ski Slopes

Enjoy skiing, snow tubing and a 9,000 square foot lodge at McIntyre Ski Area, right in the heart of Manchester.

► An outdoor bar and grille is operated from July through mid-fall.


Trails

Get moving on one of the walking and biking trails that weave through our parks and urban areas.
