The Manchester City Library is excited to host a Wilderness Talk presented by the New Hampshire Audubon. The program will be held Tuesday September 19th 2023 at 6:30pm in the Winchell Room. Come learn about local New Hampshire wildlife with us!
This program delves into a wide variety of wildlife, including animals and their interactions with each other, and their habitats. It's a little bit of everything for everyone, with a focus on migration and winter preparation for some of our local wildlife species.
Our Wilderness Talk program is a part of a larger offering of programs connected to the Big Read. NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest, to collectively read The Bear by Andrew Krivak. The Bear is a story about a father and daughter surviving in a post-apocalyptic future. The Wilderness Talk connects with the themes and setting of the book, living with wildlife in the vast wilderness.
NH Audubon's mission is to protect New Hampshire's natural environment for wildlife and for people. It is an independent statewide membership organization with three nature centers throughout the state. Expert educators give programs and staff biologists and volunteers conduct bird conservation efforts. NH Audubon protects thousands of acres of wildlife habitat and is a voice for sound public policy on environmental issues.
