Delinquent Bills

Customer sewer bills are mailed out on a quarterly basis. Payment is due 30 (thirty) days after the bill date. If payment is not received within 35 days of the due date, a Late Notice will be sent to the customer. If an account remains unpaid after 60 days past the Due Date, the delinquent amount shall be committed to the Tax Collector for the City of Manchester, NH. Interest of 12% will be charged from the date of delinquency (30 days past the bill date).

Once the delinquent amounts are sent to the Tax Department, the balance due for that delinquency is no longer due and payable at EPD, it is due and payable at the Tax Department at the following address:

City of Manchester
Office of the Tax Collector
One City Hall Plaza
Manchester, NH 03101

When the final quarter for a year has been transferred to the Tax Collector’s Office and remains unpaid, a lien for all four quarters (or any partial amount outstanding) is placed on the property (usually in August). When an account becomes delinquent 2 years and 1 day after it has been sent to lien, the account will be deeded to the City of Manchester.

Please note that a minimum fee of $30.00, plus all additional delinquency penalties and collection costs, will be charged for any remittance returned by the bank.
