Winter Weather Advisory.

Please refer to our handbook regarding inclement weather. If school is cancelled it may be a good sign that the weather will continue to make driving treacherous. Please don't take any unnecessary risks. Your safety is our first and only concern. Please note that SJCS-Meals on Wheels program does cancel home deliveries as well as congregate dining. Cancellations are announced on local TV and radio stations. Listen to WZID or watch WMUR for cancellations.

Help With Home Energy Costs is Available 2019-2020.

Fuel Assistance benefits from $158 to $1575 may be available to homeowners or renters during the winter heating season. Elgibility and benefit amounts are determined by GROSS household income for a 30 day period, household size, and annual heating cost. Some income is counted back 365 days.Fuel Assistance benefits are a grant and do not have to be repaid. The Fuel Assistance Program MAY PAY a portion of your rent if the heat is included in the rent and your rent is not subsidized. Subsidized tenants who pay their own heat may qualify for a benefit. The Electric Assistance Program (EAP) provides customers of participating electric utilities with discounts on their monthly electric bill.  Renters, subsidized renters, and homeowners who receive an electric bill can apply for EAP. Apply for both programs by calling for an appointment today! Please call Southern New Hampshire Services at 603-647-4470 or 800-322-1073 to schedule that appointment or if you have any further questions.

Thanks to our Volunteers.

Thank you to all our volunteers here at the William B Cashin Senior Activity Center! The Senior Center would not be able to organize many activities, or events without the help from our volunteers. Staff and members appreciate all that you do!

Are You Dressing Properly for the Season?

The cold weather is upon us. Please make sure to dress accordingly. The building is approximately 15,000 square feet keeping the temperatures regulated in such a huge building can be difficult. Stay comfortable by keeping yourself hydrated, and wearing layers is best.
