Have you visited our fitness room? Our Fitness Room is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment available to our members. All interested individuals must sign up for an equipment orientation session with Mark who is a Certified Fitness Trainer and Senior Services Specialist at the Senior Center. Members will pay $5.00 monthly to utilize the Fitness Room. Members who complete the orientation will be given a card showing they have successfully completed their fitness room training. Fitness room hours are now expanded to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Thursday 12:00 to 4:30 PM. For more information please stop by the front desk or call 624-6533.
Help With Home Energy Costs is Available 2019-2020.
Fuel Assistance benefits from $158 to $1575 may be available to homeowners or renters during the winter heating season. Elgibility and benefit amounts are determined by GROSS household income for a 30 day period, household size, and annual heating cost. Some income is counted back 365 days.Fuel Assistance benefits are a grant and do not have to be repaid. The Fuel Assistance Program MAY PAY a portion of your rent if the heat is included in the rent and your rent is not subsidized. Subsidized tenants who pay their own heat may qualify for a benefit. The Electric Assistance Program (EAP) provides customers of participating electric utilities with discounts on their monthly electric bill. Renters, subsidized renters, and homeowners who receive an electric bill can apply for EAP. Apply for both programs by calling for an appointment today! The cold weather is upon us. Please make sure to dress accordingly. The building is approximately 15,000 square feet keeping the temperatures regulated in such a huge building can be difficult. Stay comfortable by keeping yourself hydrated, and wearing layers is best.
COVID-19 Closure/Senior Resources
The William B Cashin Senior Activity Center will be closed do to the COVID-19 outbreak until March 30, 2020. The Senior Centers Top Priority is to keeping our members safe and healthly during this time. We look forward to resuming our daily activities when the time is appropriate to engage in activities at the William B Cashin Senior Activity Center.
