Directions to the Main Library at 405 Pine St

From Concord and points north...

  • Follow Route 93 South to Route 293 South.
  • Take Exit 6, the Amoskeag Bridge Exit.
  • Follow signs to the Civic Center and Elm Street.
  • Continue straight across Elm Street, Manchester’s Main Street.
  • Turn right onto Chestnut Street at the next Stop sign.
  • Continue on Chestnut Street past the first stoplight, then turn left into the Harnett Lot, a municipal metered parking Lot.
  • The Library is diagonally across Pine St. from the Hartnett Lot.

From Milford and the west...

  • Follow Route 101 East to Route 293 North. (Everett Turnpike)
  • Take Exit 5, the Granite St. Exit.
  • Turn right at end of exit ramp onto Granite St.
  • Stay on Granite St. and cross over Elm St. (Note that Granite St. changes its name to Lake Ave. when you cross Elm St..)
  • At the next block, turn left onto Pine St.
  • Follow Pine St until you pass the Manchester City Library, a large white granite building on your right.
  • Take the next left onto Concord St.
  • Turn right into the Hartnett Lot, a municipal metered parking lot.

From Portsmouth and the east...

  • Follow Route 101 West to Route 93 North.
  • Take Exit 8, Bridge St./Wellington Rd.
  • Turn right at end of exit ramp and go straight to stay on Bridge St.
  • Turn left onto Chestnut St. (one block past Pine St.)
  • Go 1 ½ blocks and turn left into the Hartnett Lot, a municipal metered parking Lot.
  • The Library is diagonally across Pine St from the Hartnett Lot.

From Rt. 95, Nashua, and the south...

  • Follow Route 95 North to 3 North toward Nashua.
  • Route 3 North changes name to Route 293 North between Nashua and Manchester.
  • Take Exit 5, the Granite St. Exit.
  • Turn right at end of exit ramp onto Granite St.
  • Stay on Granite St. and cross over Elm St. (Note that Granite St. changes its name to Lake Ave. when you cross Elm St..)
  • At the next block, turn left onto Pine St.
  • Follow Pine St until you pass the Manchester City Library, a large white granite building on your right.
  • Take the next left onto Concord St.
  • Turn right into the Hartnett Lot, a municipal metered parking lot.

Directions to the West Manchester Branch Library at 76 North Main St

From the north and east...

  • From Route 93, take exit 8.
  • Go down Bridge Street, straight across Elm Street and across the Merrimack River.
  • Take a left on to McGregor Street (McGregor becomes Main Street) and continue straight past the Catholic Medical Center (CMC) and West High School.
  • At the Conant Street light turn right.
  • Take your next left on to West Street.
  • The next left is the library driveway and parking lot.
  • The entrance is located in the alley between St. Andrew’s Church and the Community Center.

From the south and west...

  • From Route 293N take exit 5 to Granite Street.
  • At the third set of lights, turn right onto Main Street.
  • At the next set of lights, turn left onto Conant Street.
  • Take your next left on to West Street.
  • The next left is the library driveway and parking lot.
  • The entrance is located in the alley between St. Andrew’s Church and the Community Center.

From the west...

  • From Route 293S take exit 6, the Amoskeag Bridge.
  • Bear left on the ramp. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left on to Eddy Road (Eddy Road becomes McGregor Street).
  • Stay on Stay on McGregor through two sets of lights (McGregor becomes Main Street.
  • Your next light will be in front of West High School.
  • Turn right on to Conant Street.
  • Take your next left on to West Street.
  • The next left is the library driveway and parking lot.
  • The entrance is located in the alley between St. Andrew’s Church and the Community Center.
