The week leading up to the Christmas holiday is always one of excitement for both young and old. Children look forward to gift-giving and holiday traditions, and adults revel in holiday festivities with friends, families and co-workers. This week is a time to be merry, and a time to look around our lives and feel blessed for the gifts we have been given. I am once again blessed this year to be able to spend this time with my family, and greatly look forward to watching my children’s excitement Christmas morning.

 

Throughout the holiday season here in Manchester we see the spirit of our community in more ways than one. From a tremendous turnout at the annual downtown Christmas Parade, to the great support of area charities that all need our help to make Christmas magical for those less fortunate.

 

Since I have been Mayor, I have had the opportunity to be a part of these great community activities, and have shared wonderful memories with many friends and families throughout our city. Manchester’s charm echoes throughout the year, but the holiday season certainly brings out the best is our community and I am once again thrilled to be a part of the festivities.

 

Perhaps your family is travelling for the holiday, visiting family and friends around our state, region or country, or perhaps you and your loved ones will be enjoying Christmas here in Manchester.
