Manchester Violence Prevention Teens 

Manchester Violence Prevention Teens is a collaborative program between the Manchester Weed & Seed Strategy and our community partners: Friends Forever, the Office of Youth Services and The Salvation Army of Manchester.

For Young People

FOR YOUNG PEOPLE is a television series aimed towards topics and issues that the youth of Manchester face.  We invite local community organizations and leaders to speak about these topics and what can be done about them.

Previous episode topics have included: Youth Homelessness, Child Poverty, Student Athletes, and Internet Safety.

For Young People also covers the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council's Political Campaigns- the 2008 Presidential Election and the 2009 Manchester Mayoral Election.

Our shows are aired several times a week on Manchester Public Television Service Channel 22.

We try to tape several shows a month so that there are new episodes playing each week. We are always looking for ideas for our show or local youth events to cover. If you have an idea for a show, or would like your youth-serving organization's event to be covered and aired, please contact the For Young People Producer.
