School Information
McLaughlin follows the Middle School philosophy which promotes teaming, collaboration, a student-centered approach and close home and school communication. A major middle school premise is that your child's education is a shared and cooperative venture between the home and school. Pre- and early adolescence is a very difficult time for most students as they are changing rapidly and exploring the world with different perspectives. We recognize these changes and plan our educational program to help meet your child's needs.

Wall of Heros
McLaughlin Middle School is working on an ongoing visual project to honor the men and women connected to McLaughlin that are serving actively in the military. This display of people important to our McLaughlin family will serve to educate and remind all of our students that there are people serving and protecting us right now. Students are already stopping to read the names and to see the connections to our McLaughlin family. They have been very respectful of this display and continue to ask questions about who the people are and where they are serving. If you have any family member that is currently serving in any of the armed forces branches and would like to have them included in the Wall of Heroes. please contact Ms. Mosley, School Counselor at 628-6247 ext. 17.
We are also looking for any former student from McLaughlin that is serving at this time. We would like to include them in our display.
