QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree or CAGS in Education, Administration, or Curriculum and Instruction
  • Minimum of five years teaching experience
  • Strong technology background and familiarity with both Macintosh and PC applications

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee day-to-day operation and management of the GMPDC including staff supervision, development and implementation of professional development programs to all school district within a 30-mile radius, assist with statewide initiatives, promotion of GMPDC services, financial management, budget preparation, grant writing, and reporting.

SALARY RANGE:  $28,500 - $31,300 per year

WORK YEAR:  230 days, Half-time schedule

Responsible for a variety of duties in support of the SES program and the management of the School Choice Program.  Analyze effectiveness of programs using data indicators.  Report on programs as dictated by State and Federal DOE,  Establish District processes for enrollment and programs, enforce and reevaluate as necessary.  Generate reports for District improvement initiatives.  Keep parents informed of parent and student rights and responsibilities when enrolled in School Choice.  Work with schools, families, and providers to assess students' academic needs:  set goals based on those needs; determine time, intensity, length and location of service; ensure that intervention is aligned with classroom instruction, students' IEP's (as appropriate), curriculum frameworks and consistent with content and instruction being provided by the District.

SALARY RANGE:  Competitive salary with full benefits package
