Supplemental Educational Services (SES)
Supplemental Educational Services or SES is a part of the No Child Left Behind Act. SES provides free tutoring
scholarships for students attending Title 1 Schools In Need of Improvement. These tutoring scholarships can be used at a variety of tutoring companies or Providers. All providers have been approved by the NH State Department of Education to deliver these services to Manchester students.
SES is a parent choice program. Parents have the right to enroll their child (if their child is eligible), parents must choose the provider for their child, and parents will be invited to be a part of the process for what subjects and areas the tutors should focus on. Parents also have the right to remove their child from SES tutoring whenever they wish.
The information in the pages to the right is designed to help parents make these important choices for their child. There are also pages of information for SES Providers who are interested in providing SES services to Manchester School District Students.
