Welcome SES Providers!
We are excited that you are interested in providing high-quality tutoring services to Manchester students! You can be an integral part of our student’s success. In order to work with Manchester, there are several things that you should know about the Manchester School District and how to begin a contract with the district.
For 2010-2011, eight Manchester schools will be delivering SES: Bakersville, Beech, Gossler, Hallsville, McDonough, Northwest, Parker-Varney, and Wilson. These are all elementary schools and they are eligible for both reading and math tutoring.
Manchester has the largest SES program and a dedicated staff member who administers the program. In 2009-2010, Manchester was able to accommodate 477 students in SES.
There are many providers who wish to work with Manchester, and they are all eager to operate their tutoring programs on-site at Manchester schools. There is not enough room for every tutoring company to operate at every site. Because of this, and through a provision in the Federal SES Guidelines, Manchester provides each provider a certain number of “home schools” where they can operate their program. Not every provider is guaranteed space at the schools. Assuming that providers have contracted with Manchester according to Manchester’s guidelines and time line, there will be an equal opportunity for providers to obtain space at schools to operate the programs. Wherever possible, the District allows providers to maintain positive relationships with schools that they have worked with in the past.
Because of the size of Manchester’s program, there are very specific guidelines and deadlines that you must follow while providing services to Manchester students. These will be conveyed to you primarily through email and at the beginning of year mandatory SES Provider meeting hosted by the Manchester School District.
