At 1440 hours Manchester Police responded to Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), located at 677 Hooksett Road, for a report of a female exposing herself in the doorway. An on scene investigation by police, determined that an unknown subject acting as a corporate representative, had called the restaurant.
This subject requested employees at the business to test the fire suppression system. The employees, believing the caller was legitimate, followed the instructions and tested the system. They were then told to exit the restaurant and remove their clothing as they had been exposed to the suppression chemicals.
The Manchester Fire Department also responded to KFC. The restaurant was closed and the Health Department was notified. Two employees were treated at the Elliot Hospital.
Manchester Police are conducting a criminal investigation and request that anyone with information about the caller or callers contact them at 668-8711.
