On July 24, 2009 the Manchester Police Department partnered with the New Hampshire Liquor Enforcement Division and completed alcohol compliance checks on restaurant, bars, and nightclubs in Manchester. The intent of this operation was to ensure that licensees are complying with the law and preventing minors from acquiring alcohol.
Underage buyers assisted officers who went into the licensed establishments and then ordered an alcoholic beverage. Multiple teams checked 91 establishments with 21 of those locations selling alcohol. The following businesses sold alcohol to the minor and were subsequently summonsed.
