  • No garbage/rubbish shall be placed for collection before 4:00 PM of the day preceding the collection day that has been designated by the Department of Highways for that area of the city. Empty containers shall be removed from the right-of-way and stored on the property to which they belong, no later than 6:00 PM on the day of collection. Garbage/rubbish that has not been collected because it has not been properly prepared or placed; shall also be removed from the right-of-way and properly stored or otherwise disposed of, no later than 6:00 PM on the day it was to have been collected.

  • NO person shall deposit garbage/rubbish into any container containing or having previously contained flammable liquids, or other combustible or dangerous materials; nor shall any person deposit ashes in any refuse container which contains other refuse materials.

  • Plaster and/or other materials resulting from construction of or alterations to buildings, shall not be deposited in refuse containers. Such materials must be disposed of by the OWNER or the CONTRACTOR engaged to construct or alter said buildings. This material is accepted for a fee, at the Manchester Citizen Drop Off Facility located at 500 Dunbarton Road.

  • Compostable leaf and yard waste material must be separated from garbage and rubbish and handled in accordance with the City of Manchester, Yard Waste Collection policies. Call Pinard Waste at (603) 413-6799 with questions.

  • Refuse should be placed at the edge of the roadway so as not to block the sidewalk area.

  • Placement of refuse/garbage for collection shall be limited to twice the volume of material that is normally generated for the available containers at the property.

  • When the Owner/resident has failed to comply with the requirements of these regulations, the Director of the Department of Public Works at his discretion, may refuse to collect the refuse as well as have the property owner cited.

  • Syringes: The needles should be broken off of all syringes. It is requested that these be packaged separately and brought to the Citizen Drop-Off Area located at 500 Dunbarton Road. If necessary, syringes may be placed with your garbage but must be placed in a thick plastic container, i.e. Clorox bottle with the cover tightly secured.
