Refuse is not collected on holidays and refuse collection schedules may vary during holiday weeks.  Generally, residents should put their trash out on the normally scheduled day during a holiday week (those scheduled for the holiday itself should put their trash out on the following day).  During holiday weeks, we work longer days following the holiday to catch up.

For example, if Monday is a holiday then collections normally scheduled for Monday will be collected on Tuesday.  Once all refuse normally scheduled for Monday has been collected, our crews will begin collecting refuse normally scheduled for Tuesday.  On the following day (Wednesday), our crews will complete Tuesday's collection and start on Wednesdays.  By the end of the week, we will have collected all refuse for that week.

Typically, refuse will NOT be collected on the following holidays:

New Year's Day
President's Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Columbus Day
Veterans Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
