The City offers curbside pick up of large, non-metal furniture items for residents (only) free of charge by appointment. Appointments can be made by calling (603) 624-6444 or e-mailing us at bulkypickup@manchesternh.gov (please include your address and a description of the items you would like picked up).  We will try to respond within 24 hours (except on weekends).  Please note that refuse of any type is not allowed at the curb before 4 PM of the day before the scheduled pickup. Alternatives for Disposing of Gently Used Furniture Families in Transition owns and operates two non-profit thrift stores in Manchester.  100% of the revenue supports Families in Transition housing and services for the homeless in Manchester.  They accept donations of furniture (functional and without stains, tears or unpleasant odor).  They will also pick up furniture donations.  Donation drop off hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 AM until 4 PM.  If you wish to arrange a pick up of furniture or other large donations, call (603) 641-6691 between 10 AM and 6 PM.  Please note that they do not accept infant furniture, sofa beds or large metal desks.  For more information, please visit their website at http://fitnh.com/.
