Notary Service

We have several Notaries Public on staff who are authorized by the State of New Hampshire to take acknowledgements, administer oaths or affirmations, take a verification upon oath or affirmation, witness or attest signatures, and certify or attest copies as permitted by RSA 456-B of the State of New Hampshire.  Please note that the presence of each signer and oath-taker is required.  The fee for this service is $5 per signature/seal.

Photocopying Service

Current rates established by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for duplicating services provided to the public are $1 for the first page and $.50 for each additional page.  There are other fees associated with certification, vital records, voter checklists, and other records where applicable.

Marriage Ceremonies

We are now able to perform brief marriage ceremonies here at City Hall for couples who would simply like to exchange vows.  A Justice of the Peace is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  We can provide customers with a marriage license, a Justice of the Peace, and a certified copy of your marriage certificate before leaving City Hall.  The cost is $45 for the license, $85 for the Justice of the Peace, and $15 for one copy of your marriage certificate.  It is recommended that you call ahead (624-6455) to schedule an available time.
