Voter Checklist Verification

The process of verifying the voter checklist for the city of Manchester is under way.  New Hampshire R.S.A. requires that the checklist be verified every ten years by striking the names of all persons who have not voted in any election in the last four years and have a registration date before November 3, 2010.  Currently, there are more than 63,500 registered voters on Manchester checklists.

On April 11, 2011, the Office of the City Clerk mailed over 11,000 postcards to individuals that meet these criteria and are subject to removal by vote of the Board of Registrars on June 2, 2011.

If you have received a postcard and intend to vote at an upcoming election, you are required by law to re-register in person.  When re-registering to vote you will be required to establish your identity and domicile, and complete a new voter registration form.  In order to avoid long registration lines on Election Day, our office is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with extended hours every Tuesday night until 8:00 p.m for your convenience.

For additional information about voter registration please visit our Voter Registration and Elections page.  You may also reach us at 624-6455 or by e-mail at cityclerk@manchesternh.gov.
