| Bazaars |
|
The fee for a bazaar permit is $10.00. Certain types of bazaars require additional approvals from other City departments (ie. City Clerk, Police Dept., Fire Dept., Health Dept.).

| Building Permits |
|
Fees for building permits are as follows:
New construction - 1 & 2 family dwellings - estimated cost of the work multiplied by .006.
All other new construction (commercial & multi-family) as well as additions to existing buildings and structures - estimated cost of the work multiplied by .01. (This would include decks, sheds, pools, etc.)
Alterations renovations or repairs to existing buildings and structures - estimated cost of the work multiplied by .010. (This would include siding, windows, roofing, occupancy permits, etc.).
All building permits have a $25.00 application fee.
Plan Review Fees: a plan review fee of .02 per square foot is also assessed for all multi-family and commercial building permit applications.

| Certificate of Compliance Program |
|
Fees for the Certificate of Compliance program are as follows:
Application: $25 per dwelling unit or rooming unit as part of each application for a certificate of compliance.
Inspections:
Dwelling unit: $35 per unit for each inspection to determine compliance.
Rooming unit: $15 per room for each inspection to determine compliance.
Reinspections:
First reinspection - no charge.
Second and subsequent reinspections - $25.
In addition, after a second reinspection, the fee shall increase by $10 for each subsequent reinspection.
Unaccompanied inspection or reinspection - $50 for each inspection or reinspection at which a building owner or his representative is not present unless such arrangement has been agreed to in advance.
Transfer of ownership: $35 per certificate to assign a valid certificate of compliance to a new owner.
Replacement of certificate and permit: $25 per document for replacing an existing certificate of compliance, interim rental permit, or transfer permit.
Transfer permit:
One to four dwelling or rooming units - $125.
Five to eight dwelling or rooming units - $250.
In addition, each unit in excess of eight units shall be charged at the rate of $25 per unit.
Special inspection: A minimum of $100 for each inspection and $25 per dwelling unit or rooming unit for each additional unit after the fourth such unit.
Extended terms: $50 per certificate to extend the expiration date of a certificate pursuant to an action of the Board.
Exemptions: No fee shall be charged under this subchapter for any residential rental property that is owned by the state, the county, the city, the City Housing and Redevelopment Authority, or any agency or facility licensed by the state. Further, no fee shall be charged for student dormitories, homes for the elderly, fraternal, charitable, or other nonprofit organizations which are inspected pursuant to the requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development or state agencies.

| Impact Fees - Fire |
|
The Fire Impact Fee Schedule is applicable only to Fire Service Areas A & B. Area A (Bodwell Road) is bounded by Candia Road, So. Mammoth Road, the Auburn town line and the Londonderry town line. Area B (Hackett Hill) is bounded by the Hooksett town line, the Goffstown town line and Dunbarton Road and the Merrimack Road.

| Impact Fees - School |
|
Impact fees are assessed for any newly constructed single or multi-family dwelling within the City of Manchester.
Single family - detached - $2,733
Single family - attached (townhouse) - $633
Multi-family structures (2 units) - $1,789 (per unit)
Multi-family structures (3-4 units) - $1,537 (per unit)
Multi-family structures (5+ units) - $1,169 (per unit)
Manufactured housing - $1,663

| Tent Sales |
|
The fee for a tent sale is $35.00. A plot plan showing location of the tent must be submitted. A certificate of flame retardance for the tent is also required.
Two tent sales per year limited to a maximum of 15 days duration are allowed.

| Yard/Garage Sales |
|
The fee for residential yard sales is $5.00 for three consecutive days' duration, limited to two sales per year.

| Zoning Board of Adjustment |
|
Fees for appeal to the Zoning Board of Adjustment are as follows:
Application fee - $25
Change of use variance - $350
Multi-use variance - $350
Planned developments - $350
Nonconforming subdivisions - $350
Unaccepted way - $350
All others (variance, special exception, administrative appeal, equitable waiver) - $150
Rehearing and subsequent applications - $35
