Driving Directions to City Hall, Manchester, NH
The address of City Hall is One City Hall Plaza, Manchester, NH, 03101. City Hall is located in downtown Manchester, next to the intersection of Hanover and Elm Streets. It is adjacent to the City Hall Plaza Building, formerly known as the Nynex Building, and informally the "red brick and tan skyscraper with the green roof".

City Hall is composed of two buildings: the original City Hall building featuring the distinctive clock tower; and the City Hall West Wing, formerly called the City Hall Annex and before that, the County Court House (this name still appears on the building's stonework). The renovation of City Hall in 1998 linked these buildings together with a walkway and a new entrance accessible by people with disabilities.

The driving directions below are primarily for the benefit of persons coming from out of town. Persons coming from points inside Manchester should make their way to the downtown area and get on Elm Street, then follow the directions below under Parking Information.

Parking Information

There are a limited number of free parking spaces adjacent to the West Wing building on both Market and Stark streets. These spaces tend to fill up quickly and are for one hour only for persons on City business.

For complete information about parking options visit Parking and Related Topics. Most streets in the area surrounding City Hall provide metered or Pay & Display parking. Meter fees are 50 cents per hour, 2 hours maximum and meters only take quarters.

Nearest Public Parking Lot:
The nearest public parking lot to City Hall is the Middle Street Parking Lot, off Franklin Street one block south of the West Wing. Parking meters are 50 cents per hour, have a 2-hour limit, and only take quarters. Directions to this lot (from Elm Street):
  • Take Elm Street to the intersection with Merrimack Street.

  • Turn onto W. Merrimack Street (heading away from the park). This will be a left turn if heading north on Elm, and a right turn if heading south on Elm.

  • Go one block and turn right onto Franklin Street.

  • Take the first left onto Middle Street, then turn right to enter the parking lot.
City Hall is visible from this lot, across Market Street to the north.
