City Employee's Art Competition

The City of Manchester and the National Arts Program Foundation are co-sponsors of the 2nd Annual Employees and Families Art Competition presented by the Office of the Mayor, Group Benefits Strategies and Hartford Life Insurance at "Art on the Wall at City Hall" gallery and a satellite gallery at City Hall Plaza Lobby at 800 Elm Street.

McIntyre Ski Area spans 53 acres in Manchester’s North End. There are full snow making capabilities to cover the hill, top to bottom. The area is serviced by two double chair lifts and a pony lift, offers snow tubing, and is lighted for night skiing.

The new state-of-the-art Fisher Cats Baseball Stadium is now open along the banks of the Merrimack River. The stadium is designed by HNTB out of Kansas City. This stadium is part of the downtown development and waterfront revitalization project for the City consisting of the ballpark, a hotel, and luxury condominiums. Fisher Cats Stadium is the new home of the 2004 Eastern League Champion New Hampshire Fisher Cats Baseball Team.

Palace Theater

The Palace Theatre can seat 864 people, with seven additional wheelchair accessible spaces. Tickets to any event can be purchased by calling the box office at (603)668-5588, or coming by 80 Hanover Street in person. Box office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. A major credit card is required for all telephone purchases.
