MANCHESTER, NH- On Saturday, May 18, 2013, candidates for police officer arrived early at Memorial High School to participate in the first two phases of the police exam process.  About 200 people had initiated the application process and were scheduled to participate in the written exam and physical fitness test at the high school this past Saturday.  However, only about 160 people actually showed up to take the test.

For its third, consecutive school year, the Manchester Police Department is presenting a static display at all Manchester elementary schools, giving the kids an opportunity to meet with officers and learn more about some of the more specialized police operations and equipment. But mostly, it’s an opportunity for the kids to get to know our officers on a more personal level, and offer them a chance to recognize officers as a source of help and guidance in their community.
