An 87 year old woman was attacked and her purse stolen as she entered the Rite Aid on Mammoth Road. Her purse contained all of the money she had to pay her bills for the month.

On Tuesday morning, just after midnight, members of the Manchester Police and Fire Departments responded to a basement fire at 322 Rimmon St.  Fire personnel requested assistance from the police department, when they determined that the fire was suspicious in nature.  Two separate fires were located in the basement of the three family structure and extinguished by MFD.  A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of a Victor Chamorro 22 years of age, who's last known address is 88 Margin St Lawrence, MA.  Chamorro is alleged to have been involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend, in which he reportedly assaulted her.  Chamorro is believed to have then gone to the basement, where he started two separate fires.  Chamorro was arrested some time later, after attempting to flee from police.  He was charged with assault, arson and resisting arrest.  No injuries were reported, as a result of this inciden
