On June 24, at approximately 12:56AM, Manchester Police officer Daniel Doherty was injured while investigating a group of suspicious juveniles.  At the time Ofc. Doherty was responding to a report of loud noise, on O'Malley St, when he observed a group of juveniles acting suspiciously near Queen City Ave and Brown Ave.  When he attempted to investigate their activity, the group fled in a southerly direction.  During a brief foot chase, Ofc. Doherty suffered a lower leg injury.  Evidence at the scene suggests that Ofc. Doherty struck an old piece of farm equipment, as he ran into an area covered in thick brush.  The injury consisted of a puncture wound, to his lower right leg.  He was treated at the CMC and released.  Four juveniles were located and taken into custody for Prowling and Resisting Detention.

On June 18, 2010 Manchester Police responded to TD Bank located at 300 Franklin St. for report of a robbery in progress. On arrival officers were told that a male subject had entered the bank holding a grey cloth over his mouth. The suspect then placed the cloth over his head and approached the teller demanding money. On Saturday, July 3, 2010 the City of Manchester will be holding its Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration. As a result, the eastbound span of the Bridge St. Bridge will be closed to all traffic at approximately 8:00 AM. The westbound span will be closed to all traffic at approximately 10:00 AM.

On Monday, June 21,2010 at 0550 hrs patrol officers responded to the area of Aggregate Industries at 888 Dunbarton Rd. for a report of a vehicle off the road. The driver, later identified as Reece Gilmore, age 41, of Tewksbury, MA., called 911 using his cell phone to report the crash.

Manchester Police responded to a theft complaint at Wagner Park, located on Maple Street between Myrtle and Prospect Streets. When officers arrived on the scene they were advised by Alderman Ron Ludwig that a section of the fence surrounding the monument in the park had been cut from the remainder of the fence and stolen.
