The Manchester Police Department Community Policing Division is presently planning to host a Citizens Academy beginning in late October and concluding in mid December. Dates have not been finalized. Attendees can expect to meet once a week during the evening for approximately two hours.

Former Boston Bruins Captain Rick Middleton, CB Sullivan, and CB Sullivan Company have just made a $38,000.00 donation to the Manchester Police Athletic League. The funds are those generated from the Rick Middleton Celebrity Golf Tournament held on July 22, 2008.
Accompanying Rick Middleton during the check presentation were CB Sullivan Corporation’s Helen Emond and Kenny Feldman, both of whom have been key players in coordinating this event.

At 0113 hours on September 20th Officers were called to the area of Franklin Street and Middle Street for a reported fight. Officer Steve Maloney, who was off duty at the time, reported the call. Officer Maloney had observed two male subjects assaulting a third male subject. The victim was being attacked...

Manchester Police Officers Jeff Kelley and Pat Maguire, who were patrolling in the area of Elm and Hanover Street in the transport wagon, observed a 2006 Honda Civic travelling west on Hanover Street. The Honda was observed going through the red light as it turned right onto Elm Street. The car then drove up over the sidewalk on Elm Street and continued north on Elm.

United States Attorney Tom Colantuono, Manchester Police Chief David Mara, and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Frederick H. Booth today announced that the following individuals were arrested and arraigned in U.S. District Court Tuesday or Wednesday on the following federal criminal charges:

Kenneth Narron reported that he was beaten and robbed by 3 subjects on bicycles behind the Smoke House restaurant located at the corner of Chestnut and Manchester Street. A short time later Officer Dan Nolan stopped 2 subjects riding bicycles at the corner of Bridge and Pine Street that fit the description of the robbers and took Brian Smith and Robert Rodriguez into custody for robbery.

Bridge Street is closed from Belmont Street to Weston Street due to two trees falling into the roadway taking a telephone pole down as well. This occurred at 1015 hours this date and at the time of this writing (1:30pm) it maybe a couple of more hours before the road is re-opened.
