On Friday October 16, 2009 at approximately 10:38 PM, Officers from the Manchester Police Department responded to Maple Street north of Valley Street for the report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle.  On arrival, Officers observed an unresponsive male subject lying in the roadway with multiple injuries.  It appeared the operator of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene as no vehicle was located on scene.  The pedestrian was later identified as, Rodney Leblanc II, 37 YOA from Manchester, NH.  Leblanc was transported to the Elliot Hospital via Rockingham Ambulance and later air lifted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA with serious injuries.  Leblanc is currently listed in stable, but critical condition.  The matter remains under investigation and the Manchester Police request anyone with information regarding this incident to call the Manchester Police Traffic Division at 603-668-8711 extension 377.
