Planning and Community Development

On March 1, 2009 the Building and Planning Departments were merged into one department called the Planning and Community Development Department (PCD). This will provide a smoother application process for developers, contractors and homeowners alike in that it will allow for “one-stop-shopping”. The Planning and Community Development Department can be reached at 603-624-6450.

As of October 17, 2011, and as part of our continued effort to improve the customer experience, we have consolidated the customer service functions for both the Planning and Building Regulations divisions of our department into one central location (formerly the Building Department). PCD is still located on the second floor of City Hall, West Wing and hours of operation continue to be 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. A consolidated customer service area will allow for a more efficient process, eliminating the need to visit separate locations for service.
