Graffiti Removal

The City of Manchester has made a commitment to cleaning up graffiti from public properties within the City, as well as private properties visible from public areas.

Public Property

Please click here or call 624-6444 to report graffiti on public property and we will address it as soon as possible.

Private Property

As part of an ongoing effort to control graffiti within the city, the Highway Department has extended its graffiti removal service to select private properties within view of the city’s rights of way.

Property owners who wish to utilize this service should review the city’s policy on graffiti removal on private property and make a formal request by filling out the Request Form.

1) A completed Owner Request Form must be submitted to the Highway Department before any work is started.

2) The City will only remove graffiti on private property which is visible from the City's right of way and is safely accessible by our equipment and personnel.

3) The City does not remove graffiti from above the first floor of buildings, objects such as garbage containers or other surfaces as determined by the City.

4) The City utilizes a high pressure water machine for graffiti removal. If the City determines that this method of removal is not appropriate, the City will not remove the graffiti (the City will not paint over graffiti on private property).
