Maps and Publications
In order to carry out its land use and community development mission, the City of Manchester Planning & Community Development Department has developed over time a number of maps and publications which can be duplicated and are available to the public. Please visit the Planning Department if you are interested in purchasing copies of our maps.
Digital Maps
Based on April, 1995, aerial photography, the City of Manchester has available for purchase a digital base map of the entire geographic area of the City. The digital files that make up this base map include a tiled set of 213 AutoCad version 12 drawing files and one associated Index drawing file. Each tiled file contains most commonly available surface geographic features including edge of pavement, roof print of buildings, surface water, retaining walls, 2-foot topography, etc. Street names, sidewalks and driveways are not included as features in this digital set. The digital level of accuracy is 1” = 100’.
A compact disc containing this entire set of 214 digital base map files can be acquired from the City of Manchester Planning and Community Development Department for a cost of $100. Individual tiled files cost $10 each if purchase out-of-set.
Maps Available on the Web
We are currently working to convert a number of planning and community development maps into .pdf format for downloading by visitors to this site. This work will take a little time but we will make those maps, and an associated map index, available to the public as they become ready.
Our long-range goal is use intelligent web-based mapping software to provide site visitors with interactive land use planning and community development maps. We ask your patience while these capabilities are being developed and brought on line.
