The City of Manchester Community Improvement Program working in partnership with The Way Home notes that funds still remain through the City’s Lead Hazard Reduction Program to assist property owners in the removal of lead paint from their buildings. Further, to help expedite the disbursement of these funds and educate landlords and the public on issues relating to lead paint hazards, they are pleased to announce the hiring of a Lead Outreach and Education Coordinator, Kate Kirkwood. Kate is available to meet with property owners, property management companies, realtors, tenants and other interested parties to discuss this program. Funds up to $10,000 per unit ($80,000 max) are available for qualifying properties. For more information contact Ms. Kirkwood at 664-6450 x 5705; 627-3491 ext. 215 or at kkirkwood@manchesternh.gov.
